HERODOTUS was a Greek historian who wrote a very famous book called. “HISTORIES”. Due to his excellent research, Herodotus is often called “The Father of History”.

The King of Persia, King Cambyses sent gift of gold to the Ethiopian King. The Ethiopian King was not impressed. The Ethiopian king showed the Persians that even the bars holding prisoners in jail in Ethiopia were made of gold.

“Then when they departed from this spring, he led them to a prison house for men, and there all were bound in Fetters of Gold… Then when they had seen the prison-house they saw also the so-called Table of the Sun”.
